Enhanced Spam Blocker

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Spam Blocker?

Spam Blocker is a service which Arkansas.Net is now making available to all of its customers. It is designed to reduce the number of unsolicited (spam) e-mail messages you get in your mailbox.

Q: How do I change my Spam Blocker Preferences?

All of the Spam Blocker preferences have been integrated into Arkansas.Net's Web-based e-mail system at http://webmail.arkansas.net. After you login to Webmail, you will see a row of buttons at the top. One of the buttons is labeled "Spam Tools". Spam Blocker preferences are available there.

Q: How can I read my spam messages?

If you want to read your spam messages, visit http://webmail.arkansas.net and click the folder labeled "Spam Mail". Your spam messages will be there. If you want to deliver any spam message to your mailbox, click on the deliver button while viewing the message.

Q: How do I block a specific e-mail address from sending me mail?

If you are receiving e-mail from a specific e-mail address and want to block it, add that e-mail address to the "Blocked Senders" list. Click on "Spam Tools" and then "Blocked Senders" in Webmail, and add the address to your list. Remember to save your changes otherwise they will be lost!

Q: I'm on a mailing list that keeps getting blocked as spam. How do I stop that from happening?

If you want to receive mail from a specific e-mail address, but it's getting blocked as spam, add that address to your "Approved Senders" list. Click on "Spam Tools" and then "Approved Senders" in Webmail, and add the address to your list. Remember to save your changes otherwise they will be lost!

Q: I'm still getting spam messages!! What can I do?!

If you're still receiving spam messages, try increasing the Spam Sensitivity Level. Click on "Spam Tools" and then "Spam Filtering Preferences" in Webmail. Change the Spam Sensitivity Level to Low, Medium, or High based on your requirements.
