Q: What is Spam Blocker?
Spam Blocker is a service which
Arkansas.Net is now making available to all of its customers. It is
designed to reduce the number of unsolicited (spam) e-mail messages you
get in your mailbox.
Q: How do I change my Spam Blocker Preferences?
All of the Spam Blocker preferences have been integrated into
Arkansas.Net's Web-based e-mail system at
http://webmail.arkansas.net.
After you login to Webmail, you will see a row of buttons at the top.
One of the buttons is labeled "Spam Tools". Spam Blocker preferences
are available there.
Q: How can I read my spam messages?
If you want to read your spam messages, visit
http://webmail.arkansas.net
and click the folder labeled "Spam Mail". Your spam messages will be
there. If you want to deliver any spam message to your mailbox, click
on the deliver button while viewing the message.
Q: How do I block a specific e-mail address from sending me mail?
If you are receiving e-mail from a specific e-mail address and want to
block it, add that e-mail address to the "Blocked Senders" list. Click
on "Spam Tools" and then "Blocked Senders" in Webmail, and add the address
to your list. Remember to save your changes otherwise they will
be lost!
Q: I'm on a mailing list that keeps getting blocked as spam. How
do I stop that from happening?
If you want to receive mail from a specific e-mail address, but it's getting
blocked as spam, add that address to your "Approved Senders" list. Click
on "Spam Tools" and then "Approved Senders" in Webmail, and add the address
to your list. Remember to save your changes otherwise they will
be lost!
Q: I'm still getting spam messages!! What can I do?!
If you're still receiving spam messages, try increasing the Spam Sensitivity
Level. Click on "Spam Tools" and then "Spam Filtering Preferences"
in Webmail. Change the Spam Sensitivity Level to Low, Medium, or High
based on your requirements.
